- Lois Maxwell's final appearance as Moneypenny. A role she held for 23 years.
- Filming was delayed when the "007" stage at Pinewood Studios burns down. It was totally rebuilt in less than four months, and renamed "The Albert R. Broccoli 007 Stage."
- Tanya Roberts got the role after Broccoli saw her in The Beastmaster.
- During filming, Grace Jones' boyfriend was a little-known actor named Dolph Lundgren. Lundgren has a small part in the film as a KGB heavy.
- The Hebrew title translates as "Murder In The Eyes."
