A View To A Kill is Roger Moore's last James Bond movie. Unfortunately Moore waited one movie to long, and should have retired after the preceding film Octopussy. Roger Moore isn't bad, but his age handicaps him in such an action oriented movie. Roger Moore still has a few good lines, and is at times believable in the fight scenes. Christopher Walken is an inspired choice for Max Zorin. He is perhaps the most psychotic villain in the Bond series. Zorin is ruthless and finds humor in almost anything, and death in particular.During the scenes where he commits murder Zorin acts like a male Xenia Onatopp. Max Zorin is pleasant and courteous a tall times like the other villains. There is a definite likability to the Zorin character that makes him one of the more interesting Bond villains. Stacy Sutton however is a character that exists for the final scenes, at which point she tells Bond to "look out" and embraces him after the final sequence. While the intelligence of her character is never supposed to be doubted by the audience, you can't help but marvel at some one so unobservant that she doesn't notice a blimp until it's a meter away (ok I know she had just been through a lot).
The evil scheme in A View To A Kill is imaginative and among the best of the Bond films. John Barry's score is exceptional. And Zorin's mine is an imaginative set. A View To A Kill is a good movie although it is not on the same level as some of the other Bond films. Rating - 6.1 (10)
